Technical anodising

Also called “eloxing”. Anodising is the electrochemical treatment of the surface of aluminium. The natural oxide layer is replaced by an artificial oxide layer. The aluminium oxide layer formed in this manner is molecularly bonded to the base material and therefore provides the best adhesion for a second surface treatment, such as painting. The oxide layer provides good protection against corrosion and wear.
