Wet painting / application of paint systems
Surface Treatment can apply nearly any wet paint system, in conjunction with the most optimal pre-treatment. The paint system is usually applied in several layers. A heat-cured epoxy paint is often used as a primer layer, and the topcoat is most often an acrylic or polyurethane. Wet paint systems are usually stoved or heat-cured. The right combination of pre-treatment, primer and topcoat ensures optimum corrosion resistance.
Some examples of possible coatings:
- Wash, epoxy and polyurethane primers
- Various epoxy, polyurethane and alkyd topcoats
- Bonding primers
- Teflon coatings
- DAG coatings (e.g. for EMC applications)
